美國威視VISX公司的WaveScan WaveFront波前像差系統是目前所有像差儀中經過機構有效的儀器，可以清晰顯示患者的WavePrint，一種獨特的“眼睛指紋”。這項劃時代的精確測量技術可以測量整個視路的像差，而不僅僅是瞳孔表面的光折射，可以在整個視路范圍內對像差進行量化檢查。還可同時測量球柱屈光病變及像差，提供了一種以往用標準測量屈光的方法無法實現的新的精度。
